Position Overview:

This role is integral to the United States Army Reserve Command, specifically within the G-3/7, Collective Training Division.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert advice to the Division Chief and the Army Reserve Director of Training regarding all aspects of pre-mobilization collective training.
  • Act as the primary coordinator for USARC exercise policies and directives, liaising with external agencies on matters related to Army Reserve exercise participation.
  • Design and implement collective training initiatives, including the Army Reserve Exercise Program and various training rotations.
  • Contribute to budget development for the Program Analysis and Resource Review, ensuring inclusion in the Program Objective Memorandum and Command Operating Budget.
  • Assess Army Reserve exercise participation to confirm that training objectives are fulfilled and priorities are addressed.
  • Recommend strategies, policies, and regulations regarding collective training to the Army Reserve G-7 and Command Group.
  • Supervise personnel including field grade officers, Department of the Army Civilians, and contractors.

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must meet one of the employment authority categories to be eligible for this position. Documentation proving eligibility will be required.

Experience is defined as both paid and unpaid work, including volunteer roles through National Service programs and other organizations.

Your resume should clearly outline relevant experience; if qualifying through education, transcripts will be necessary.


Specialized Experience:

Candidates should possess at least one year of specialized experience that includes:

  • Managing both short-term and long-term joint exercise programs involving various military and civilian agencies.
  • Interpreting directives and policies from command and higher headquarters that govern all phases of exercises.
  • Conducting thorough analyses to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of joint exercise programs.
  • Executing diverse analytical studies related to management improvement and long-range planning.
  • Justifying training budgets to ensure alignment with management objectives.

This specialized experience is typically associated with positions at the GS-12 level.
