About the Role

This position involves processing specimen requisitions, matching tests with specimens, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The successful candidate will work closely with the Operations Manager to ensure the smooth operation of the laboratory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process specimen requisitions accurately and efficiently.
  • Match tests requested with appropriate specimens and label according to established procedures.
  • Print out patient charts as needed.
  • Assist callers with accurate information in a timely and positive manner.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to infection control and body fluid precautions.
Requirements
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Show strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Display adaptability in a rapidly changing work environment.
  • Have a basic understanding of medical terminology.
  • Be able to type continuously and perform repetitive movements.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is $48,000 - $58,000 per year, depending on experience. United Westlabs offers competitive benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
