Equipment Resource Specialist

As a key member of the Sentara Healthcare team, the Equipment Resource Associate plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of medical equipment in a healthcare organization. This position is responsible for cleaning, maintaining, and performing functional checks on equipment to ensure it is in good working condition before being issued to patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customer service, healthcare, or a related field, with a focus on equipment maintenance and repair.
Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain medical equipment to ensure it is in good working condition
- Perform functional checks on equipment to identify any issues or defects
- Repair or coordinate the repair of equipment as needed
- Work closely with healthcare staff to ensure equipment is properly maintained and available for patient use
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of experience in healthcare, customer service, supply chain, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1 year of prior healthcare experience
- 1 year of prior customer service experience
