Job Title: Quality Control Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Manager to join our team at Commercial Contracting Corporation. As a Quality Control Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that our projects meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance.

Job Summary

The Quality Control Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing quality control plans, conducting regular inspections and audits, and collaborating with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure proper implementation of quality control measures. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of federal quality control regulations, including USACE Construction Quality Management (CQM) requirements, and will be able to effectively communicate with diverse project teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement project-specific quality control plans in accordance with federal regulations, contract requirements, and company standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify compliance with project specifications, codes, and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure proper implementation of quality control measures throughout all project phases.
  • Review and interpret project plans, drawings, specifications, and submittals to identify quality requirements and ensure compliance.
  • Monitor and document all quality control activities, including testing, inspections, and corrective actions, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction quality control, with a focus on federal projects.
  • Strong knowledge of federal quality control regulations, including USACE Construction Quality Management (CQM) requirements.
  • Familiarity with industry quality control standards and methodologies, such as ASTM, ACI, and AISC.
  • Exceptional understanding of construction plans, drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and people skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse project teams.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

This position may require frequent travel by motor vehicle and extended hours on construction sites, necessitating physical stamina to move around the premises. The ability to lift and/or move materials and tools is essential, with a maximum weight limit of 50lbs. Effective and professional communication and interaction with supervisors, employees, and others, whether individually or in a team environment, are vital aspects of the role.
