**Job Description**
As a Senior Data Systems Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include providing data acquisition and instrumentation training to new and junior employees. You will also be responsible for regularly reporting project status to assigned project managers. Additionally, you will be tasked with organizing and maintaining sensor inventory and databases, as well as procuring new equipment. Your expertise in data acquisition systems will be crucial in managing projects to complete tasks within budget and on-schedule. You will also ensure that all systems, policies, and procedures adhere to ISO 9000 standards.
**Required Skills and Qualifications**
To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer science, systems engineering, or mechanical engineering, or a comparable field. You should have 2-5 years of experience in research and development or test and evaluation environments. Prior experience developing load control and data acquisition hardware and software for endurance simulation or static/dynamic load application is highly desirable. You should be proficient in one or more of the following: MTS load control and data acquisition hardware and software, LabView, macros, recipes, and scripts for LabView, Microsoft Office Professional, technical concepts related to instrumentation, data acquisition, signal conditioning, and sensors, electrical/software troubleshooting skills, and instrument communication protocols.
