We are seeking a skilled Vibration Dynamics Specialist to join our team at Dayton T. Brown, Inc. in Bohemia, NY. As a Vibration Dynamics Specialist, you will be responsible for performing vibration and dynamics tests, operating electrodynamic shaker, hammer shock, and centrifuge test facilities, and interpreting test plans and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform vibration and dynamics tests
- Operate electrodynamic shaker, hammer shock, and centrifuge test facilities
- Interpret test plans and specifications
- Gather necessary support equipment for testing
- Program vibration profiles to run tests and record required data
- Maintain logbook documentation throughout the course of testing
- Communicate with test engineers about progress and test anomalies
Requirements:
- US Citizenship
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience using Microsoft Office
- Basic hand tools
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
- 0-5 years of experience in vibration and shock testing
- Ability to understand different types of sensors and how to read their outputs
- Data acquisition background
