About the Position

Columbia Sportswear is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Account Representative to join our team. As a key member of our sales organization, you will be responsible for managing our business with Dick's Sporting Goods, a leading retailer in the outdoor industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to drive business growth and profitability with our key account.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at the account, including VPs, Buyers, and Planners.
  • Provide expert-level knowledge of our products and services to the account, and develop tailored solutions to meet their needs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including Merchandising, Marketing, and Design, to ensure alignment and effective execution of our sales strategy.
  • Manage and analyze sales data and market trends to inform business decisions and drive growth.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the competition and market trends, and communicate key insights to the account and internal teams.
  • Work closely with our Account Services, Account Operations, Demand Planning Team, and Replenishment Team to ensure seamless execution of sales orders and forecasts.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to account representatives and other team members.
Requirements
  • 5-7+ years of experience in sales of women's apparel and/or equivalent industry merchant experience; kid's specific apparel a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven experience in defining retailer value-add from markets, outdoor industry, product trends, and key data.
  • Advanced knowledge of the competition and ability to communicate the issues/opportunities to the account/management/merchandising teams.
  • High level of experience leading business reviews and creating marketing plans.
  • Advanced experience with retail math.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Superb interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build relationships.
  • Mastery in Microsoft applications, and ability to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment.
