Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Human Resources Generalist to join our team at MRA Recruiting Services. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for administering HR policies, procedures, and programs, as well as supporting employee relations, employee onboarding, benefit administration, and leaves.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and lead major HR initiatives and projects, including annual compensation increases, open enrollment, staff restructuring, and end-of-year requirements.
  • Advise on HR topics, including policy interpretation, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance.
  • Support the HR team by serving as a backup to the HR Generalist and collaborating on department goals and tasks.
  • Advises management on employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, harassment investigations, wage complaints, and attendance issues.
  • Manage employee performance, including corrective action processes, and administer benefit programs in collaboration with the HR Generalist and payroll team.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices.
  • Responsible for completing specific projects as directed by the President/CEO, including handbook revisions, compensation data analysis, and HR reporting.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resource Management, or related field, and 7+ years' experience in Human Resources.
  • PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP certifications a bonus.
  • Previous management experience a plus.
  • Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of Human Resources employment laws, pending legislation, and best practices within HR.
  • Experience working with HRIS systems as an administrator, preferably with Paylocity.
  • Ability to make administrative and procedural decisions and judgments on sensitive, confidential issues.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and maintain confidentiality when working with employee information.
  • Ability to work with frequent, established deadlines and organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to develop, plan, and implement short- and long-range goals and employee development and performance management skills.
