Job Summary

This role involves serving as the primary point of contact for the public, identifying customer needs, and suggesting relevant services. The successful candidate will be responsible for opening and closing the branch, managing cash drawers, handling customer inquiries, and maintaining the ATM and TCR.

Key Responsibilities
  • Open and close the branch, unlock vaults, safes, and drawers, and log into the computer system.
  • Receive and process checking and savings deposits and withdrawals, verify balances and signatures, and issue receipts.
  • Maintain and balance a teller cash drawer.
  • Open and close various types of personal and business accounts, CDs, IRAs, and HSAs.
  • Recognize customer needs for potential cross-selling opportunities.
  • Assist the branch manager with customer requests.
  • Accept stop payments from customers after verifying relevant information.
  • Handle various telephone inquiries from customers.
  • Balance and maintain the ATM and TCR.
  • Order and sell coin and currency for the branch.
  • Drive branch performance results through strong internal and external individual sales performance.
  • Assist customers with overdrawn accounts, past due loan payments, and maintenance on deceased accounts.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Intermediate PC skills (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Effective decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Detailed-oriented.
