At Great Wolf Lodge, we are seeking a highly skilled Aquatics Manager to lead our waterpark operations and ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for our guests.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of aquatic operations, maintenance and upkeep of the swimming pool facility, and supervision of aquatics staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of aquatics staff, including recruiting, hiring, training, and maintaining appropriate staffing levels.
  • Develop and implement programming and schedules for waterpark operation, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for our guests.
  • Conduct classes, training, and in-service training for aquatics staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Direct the implementation of department policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Ensure all lifeguard certifications are current and all lifeguards are properly trained and equipped to respond to emergencies.
  • Communicate effectively with both internal and external customers, using tact and diplomacy to resolve conflicts and ensure a positive guest experience.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience in a waterpark or swimming pool facility
  • E&A International Lifeguard Training Program certification
  • CPR/First Aid/AED certification
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check and drug screen
Preferred Qualifications
  • College degree in a related field, such as recreation, hospitality, or business
  • ILTP Instructor certification
  • Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or equivalent
  • Ability to inspire and motivate team members to work together and exceed expectations
  • Capable of working unusual hours, including late nights, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced atmosphere
Physical Requirements
  • Swim 50 yards in 4 ft. of water and retrieve a 10 lb brick at the bottom of the water
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work in a humid, warm environment and be immersed in water for extended periods of time
  • Position sometimes requires the ability to lift, push, and pull at least 50 lbs and up to 100 lbs
  • Ability to climb multiple flights of stairs
