About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Medical Assistant to join our team in a fast-paced Pulmonary Clinic. As a Medical Assistant, you will provide administrative and clinical support to our physicians and patients, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing patient care, including vital signs, medication updates, and testing as necessary
  • Greeting patients and updating medical records
  • Scheduling appointments and facilitating positive relationships among physicians, staff, and patients
  • Completing insurance forms and correspondence
  • Arranging hospital admissions and laboratory services
  • Preparing patients for examination and assisting physicians during exams
  • Administering medications and making prior authorization calls
  • Managing prescription and pharmacy calls

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma and MA certification
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and electronic medical records
