Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Heavy Civils Superintendent to join our team in Dallas, Texas. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil construction, with a proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects. This role requires exceptional leadership skills, technical expertise, and a commitment to delivering projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage all on-site construction activities for heavy civil projects, ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety standards.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure efficient workflow and timely project completion.
  • Develop and implement project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety, addressing any issues promptly.
  • Lead and mentor on-site construction teams, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and company policies.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, milestones, and any potential risks or challenges.
  • Manage project documentation, including daily reports, logs, and records of labor, materials, and equipment.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in heavy civil construction, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
  • Extensive knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and industry best practices.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale projects, including highways, bridges, tunnels, and other infrastructure.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver's license and the ability to travel as needed.
  • OSHA certification or equivalent safety training preferred.
