Job Overview:

CMC Partners is seeking a skilled Scheduler to join their team in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Primavera P6 scheduling and a deep understanding of heavy civil construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain master schedules for heavy civil construction projects.
  • Collaborate with project teams to create, update, and manage comprehensive project schedules.
  • Regularly review schedules to reflect progress, delays, and changes; prepare and communicate updates to stakeholders.
  • Address scheduling conflicts and resource constraints proactively; participate in project meetings to provide scheduling insights.
  • Assist in resource planning, integrating manpower, equipment, and materials with project timelines.
  • Utilize scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6) and stay updated on best practices to improve scheduling processes.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and develop contingency plans for unexpected events.
  • Generate reports on scheduling performance and provide training on best practices.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in scheduling tools like Primavera P6, with proven experience in heavy civil construction scheduling.
  • Experience and knowledge in scheduling TXDOT highway and bridge projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills, and the ability to interpret construction plans and specifications.
  • Experience with resource loading, data analysis, and managing schedule impacts related to claims and change orders.
