Job Title: Project Manager - Heavy Highway Division

Ragle, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager for our Houston Heavy Highway Division. This role requires an individual with proven expertise in overseeing large-scale roadway, highway, and bridge construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct and manage all aspects of construction projects from conception to completion, with a focus on highway, roadway, and bridge construction.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety standards and regulations, fostering a safe work environment on all project sites.
  • Monitor and maintain high-quality standards, ensuring construction meets or exceeds project specifications.
  • Develop and manage project schedules using Primavera P6, including the creation of 3-week lookahead schedules. Track project milestones and performance against the baseline schedule.
  • Regularly review and manage job costs, ensuring that projects stay within budget. Prepare and negotiate change orders as necessary.
  • Communicate and coordinate with inspectors, owner representatives, and other key stakeholders to ensure project alignment and timely issue resolution.
  • Supervise and develop a team of 1 to 5 direct reports, which may include Project Engineers, Superintendents, or Interns. Provide guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.
  • Plan and assign resources, including labor, equipment, and materials, ensuring optimal project execution. Anticipate project needs at least 6 months in advance.
  • Ensure timely and accurate payments from project owners and ensure vendors and subcontractors are paid according to contract terms.
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies, practices, and safety procedures.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5+ years in managing large-scale heavy highway construction projects, with demonstrated experience in roadway, highway, and bridge construction.
  • PMP or similar project management certifications are advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Strong working knowledge of project management and scheduling software, specifically Primavera P6. Experience with cost management systems and project tracking tools is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license is required for this position.
