Position Overview:

The Procurement Specialist plays a crucial role in managing the purchasing process and vendor relations for Compunnel Inc. This position is essential for ensuring that all procurement activities align with company objectives and customer needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate and manage purchase orders while effectively communicating with suppliers regarding specifications and requirements.
  • Ensure that purchasing and supplier documentation is accurate, organized, and compliant with audit standards.
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with vendors, focusing on performance metrics and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with production scheduling teams to facilitate precise forecasting and timely delivery schedules.
  • Engage with various departments to guarantee that all deliveries are executed on schedule.

Planning Duties:

  • Prioritize tasks to meet customer demands while keeping supervisors informed of progress.
  • Oversee data management, ensuring all necessary information is collected and disseminated for effective task completion.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance and quality of both domestic and international suppliers and sub-vendors.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of an Associate's Degree in Business Administration or a related discipline, or 2-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Preferred ability to interpret engineering and blueprint drawings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is required.
  • Experience with ERP systems is essential.
  • Must possess the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic work environment while maintaining professionalism.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills are critical for success in this role.
  • Familiarity with Windchill is preferred.
