- Generate and manage purchase orders while effectively communicating requirements to suppliers.
- Maintain comprehensive and organized records of purchasing activities and supplier documentation, ensuring compliance with audit standards.
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with vendors, focusing on performance metrics and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with production scheduling teams to facilitate accurate forecasting and timely delivery of materials.
- Engage with various departments to ensure seamless coordination and on-time delivery of products.
Planning Duties:
- Prioritize tasks to meet customer demands and relay necessary information to supervisory staff.
- Oversee data management, including the collection and dissemination of information required for effective procurement.
- Monitor and assess the performance and quality of suppliers and sub-vendors, both domestically and internationally.
Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree in Business Administration or a related discipline, or 2-3 years of pertinent experience.
- Preferred experience in interpreting engineering and blueprint drawings.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel applications.
- Familiarity with ERP systems is essential.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic work environment while maintaining professionalism.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills are critical for success in this role.
- Experience with Windchill is preferred.
