CNC Programming Specialist II

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Devise economical strategies for the production and evaluation of complex component parts.
- Design or procure innovative tooling, gauging, and fixtures.
- Develop CNC programs utilizing CAM software and work alongside operators to verify program accuracy.
- Create essential documentation for new components, including tool records, process schematics, inspection documentation, etc. Revise existing documentation as necessary.
- Collaborate with machine operators to confirm program functionality and resolve shop floor challenges.
- Engage with suppliers and contractors regarding manufacturing techniques and processes to guarantee high-quality components.
- Provide cost assessments for manufacturing operations.
- Assess current manufacturing workflows, capabilities, and equipment, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Comply with quality system standards.
- Participate in specialized manufacturing projects as directed by management.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Technical degree in CNC programming (2-year program) with a minimum of 3 years of experience in CNC programming, fixture, tooling, and gauge design.
- 3 years of pertinent CAM experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CAM software; familiarity with SolidWorks and/or Esprit CAM software is advantageous.
- Ability to interpret and analyze technical designs, drawings, blueprints, and test results.
- Experience with secondary operations such as grinding, cleaning, and honing is beneficial.
- Understanding of heat treatment processes.
- Intermediate to advanced mathematical skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Analytical mindset with effective problem-solving skills.
- Able to occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.
