Key Responsibilities:
MV Transportation is in search of an Assistant General Manager who will

offer guidance, leadership, and direction to the designated operational site to ensure the successful execution of annual business objectives.


Reporting directly to the General Manager, the individual will oversee the daily functions of our transportation contract, ensuring adherence to the policies set forth by the contracting agency and compliance with company protocols.


Specific Duties:
Effectively manage client relationships through direct engagement and outreach initiatives. Identify, recruit, train, and mentor staff at the location. Maintain open and frequent communication with on-site personnel and support teams. Supervise the vehicle maintenance strategy to guarantee fleet readiness for service demands. Administer safety and training initiatives to ensure compliance with company, contractual, and regulatory standards. Regularly engage with clients to meet or surpass their expectations. Conduct routine departmental audits. Perform daily, weekly, and monthly assessments of key operational metrics.

Ensure continuous management of all financial metrics at the location, report exceptions, and develop action plans to meet financial, safety, and operational goals.

Implement, advocate for, and comply with company policies and procedures. Collaborate with the bridges committee to facilitate positive modifications to policies, procedures, and programs. Participate in labor and employee relations activities at the location(s). Provide insights and information to support contract renewals for the location(s). Develop and present the annual budget for the location(s).

Qualifications:

Required Skills:
A college degree or equivalent experience in business management is necessary. Management experience is essential.

A minimum of five (5) years of extensive experience in operations management is required, along with a combination of seven (7) years of management or supervisory experience in a transit setting, with familiarity in Trapeze scheduling software.

Expertise in labor/union negotiations and expenses is mandatory.

A comprehensive understanding of dispatch, scheduling, driver recruitment, and compliance with DOT and FTA safety regulations is required.

Proficiency in MS Office, strong analytical capabilities, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a high level of multitasking ability are essential. Additional responsibilities may be assigned based on specific contract requirements.

Compensation and Benefits:
Starting pay rate ranges from $175,000 to $225,000.

Additional Compensation:
$1,000.00 Driver referral bonus ($500.00 upon training completion and $500.00 upon successful completion of the probationary period); $1,000.00 Mechanic referral bonus ($500.00 upon training completion and $500.00 upon successful completion of the probationary period).
