About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and responsible Custodial Support Specialist to join our team at the Virginia Military Institute (VMI) Physical Plant. As a Custodial Support Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, including classrooms, offices, public spaces, and restrooms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and disinfect surfaces, dust, mop, and vacuum floors and other areas as needed
  • Remove trash and recyclables from facilities
  • Provide custodial support for events and athletic games
  • Lift and move furniture and equipment as needed
  • Work in various weather conditions
Requirements
  • Ability to work well with students, staff, and members of the public
  • 18 years of age
  • Good customer service skills
  • Previous custodial experience
