Job Title: Adjunct Faculty, Automotive Technology

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach automotive technology courses at our Round Rock campus. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and delivering engaging and innovative coursework that reflects a commitment to student success and equity.

Job Summary:

The Adjunct Faculty, Automotive Technology will be responsible for teaching automotive technology courses to a multicultural student population. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and a passion for teaching and mentoring students.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and teach automotive technology courses to a multicultural student population.
  • Evaluate student progress and provide clear, timely feedback.
  • Provide teaching and mentoring services to students in a manner that does not discriminate based on protected categories.
  • Remain current in the field through professional development activities.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned by the department chair, dean, and/or associate vice chancellor, vice chancellor, executive vice chancellor.
Requirements:
  • AAS in Automotive Repair or higher.
  • Five years of non-teaching, directly related automotive repair experience.
  • ASE Automobile Master Certification.
  • ASE G-1 Certification.
  • ASE L-1 Certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior teaching experience.
