Position Overview: The Automotive Technology Specialist is responsible for guiding and demonstrating vehicle features and technology to customers during the initial stages of the sales journey.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This role does not include direct supervisory duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome customers and ascertain their vehicle preferences.
  • Inform customers about the current range of products and fundamental specifications.
  • Provide informational materials upon request.
  • Showcase vehicle functionalities and technological features to clients.
  • Educate customers on available optional equipment for purchase.
  • Address inquiries regarding vehicles, technology, and features.
  • Facilitate test drives.
  • Conduct tours of the facility, including service and parts areas.
  • Lead training sessions for existing customers on technology.
  • Offer assistance to customers as necessary.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales team.
  • Support the sales team as required.
  • Maintain customer satisfaction indices at or above company standards.
  • Ensure a tidy, organized, and safe workspace.
  • Participate in mandatory training sessions.
  • Accurately record all hours worked in the company timekeeping system.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Exemplify the company’s core values.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Observe all relevant safety rules and regulations during the execution of duties.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Education Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

Field of Study/Experience:

  • Automotive.

Work Experience:

  • Up to 3 years of relevant experience.

Experience:

Previous experience in sales and/or customer service is preferred. Proficiency in advanced technology is essential.

Licenses:

  • Valid Driver's License.

Computer Skills:

Basic computer skills are necessary for utilizing the timekeeping system. Ability to learn web-based applications for customer management is required.

Communication Skills:

Ability to comprehend and follow instructions. Effective communication with customers and company personnel is crucial.

Attendance Expectations:

This position requires regular and predictable attendance. Scheduled shifts may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently stands, walks, and sits.

Environmental Demands:

Duties are performed throughout the premises, both indoors and outdoors, including customer test drives. The nature of the position may expose the employee to various work environments and necessitate performing a variety of tasks. The role involves considerable standing and frequent movement around the facilities and outdoor areas to engage with customers and other departments.
