Student Success Advisor - DC Student Cohorts

Trinity Washington University is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Student Success Advisor to join our team. As a Student Success Advisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the academic success and well-being of our students, particularly those from the DC area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement targeted programming to support students from DC, including those receiving funding and support specific to their residency.
  • Provide individualized academic counseling and scholarship support to a caseload of advisees, with a focus on enhancing retention and success.
  • Support students in understanding the implications of financial aid and its impact on their progress and success.
  • Identify and connect students with on- and off-campus resources to support their success.
  • Engage in intrusive and targeted outreach to students who are struggling academically.
  • Advise students on class selection and approve schedule requests in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed student records, including academic plans.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree required in an appropriate area of specialization.
  • Experience working in a related student-support role.
  • Knowledge of the DC Public Schools and DC Charter School system.
  • Knowledge of the DC area.
