Job Summary:

  • The APG Mechanic is responsible for a range of mechanical tasks, including diagnosing issues and performing necessary maintenance, disassembly, rework, repair, replacement, reassembly, or adjustment of various aircraft systems, adhering to technical specifications and regulatory standards.
  • Involves conducting system checkouts, major system installations, and wing installations on advanced fighter aircraft.
  • The technician must possess a strong understanding of aircraft systems operation and maintenance, which includes:


• Landing Gear

• Powerplants

• Flight Control Systems

• Rigging Procedures

• Aircraft Mobility.

  • Candidates should have a background as crew chiefs, plane captains, or A&P certified with substantial aircraft maintenance experience.
  • This role supports the final assembly surge, with potential for assignment extension.
  • Experience with F-16 or similar fighter aircraft is preferred.
  • A robust aviation background is essential.
  • Tools are not required for this position.
