Job Description

Pinnacle Professional Services is seeking a highly skilled Battery Technology Expert to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in driving innovation and improving battery energy storage systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Research and Development: Conduct research and develop new battery technologies to enhance energy storage capacity, efficiency, and lifespan.
  • System Design and Implementation: Design and implement advanced battery management systems to ensure safe and reliable operation.
  • Collaboration and Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate battery technologies into various applications, such as electric vehicles, renewable energy systems, and grid-scale storage.
  • Industry Trends and Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory developments in the battery sector.
  • Technical Expertise and Guidance: Provide technical expertise and guidance to stakeholders, including engineers, project managers, and clients on optimizing battery design and commercialization.
  • Performance Analysis and Testing: Conduct performance analysis, testing, and evaluation of battery systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications.
  • Process Improvement and Cost Optimization: Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization in battery production and recycling processes.
Requirements:
  • Japanese Language Skills: Native-level proficiency in Japanese language.
  • Prior Experience: Prior experience bringing battery products to market as an engineering leader.
  • Battery Chemistries: Proficiency in battery chemistries, including lithium-ion, solid-state, and emerging technologies.
  • Battery Cell/Pack Design and Manufacturing: Strong knowledge of battery cell/pack design and manufacturing processes and quality control procedures.
  • Battery Testing and Characterization: Experience with battery testing, characterization, and performance analysis techniques.
  • Battery Management Systems: Familiarity with battery management systems (BMS), including state-of-charge (SOC) and state-of-health (SOH) monitoring.
  • Energy Storage Applications: Understanding of energy storage applications, such as electric vehicles, industrial, marine, renewable energy integration, and grid-scale storage.
  • Battery Modeling and Simulation: Proficient in battery modeling and simulation software.
  • Industry Standards and Regulations: Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations, such as ISO 26262 and IEC.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Effective communication and collaboration skills. Ability to influence others and drive execution.
  • Project Management and Multitasking: Project management and multitasking capabilities.
  • Adaptability: Adaptability to work in a fast-paced and evolving industry.
  • Sustainability and Clean Energy: Passion for sustainability and clean energy solutions.
