Position Overview:

The Technical Service Consultant plays a pivotal role in fostering robust client relationships, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, and expanding the service offerings of American Battery Solutions (ABS). This position involves traveling to various client sites to provide essential support to ABS customers. The Technical Service Consultant acts as a knowledgeable resource for clients regarding the ABS product lines, demonstrating expertise in company technologies and applying a comprehensive understanding of various systems, often assisting customers across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Guarantee customer satisfaction through effective product performance and service operations.
  • Conduct troubleshooting, testing, repair, and maintenance of technical equipment at client locations.
  • Deliver service and customer support during field assignments.
  • Identify errors or technical issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Guide customers on the proper usage of equipment.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with clients.
  • Prepare and validate quotes for service activities as required.
  • Generate and submit detailed service reports, ensuring professional documentation for clients.
  • Provide after-hours and emergency support as needed.
  • Gain proficiency with specialized tools and programs while collaborating across functions.
  • Design and present training sessions for key clients and stakeholders at their locations and during industry events.
  • Travel to customer and OEM sites as necessary to support product warranties and lifecycle management.
  • Lead the creation of troubleshooting guides and documentation.
  • Assist in analyzing warranty claims and product returns for repair and problem-solving initiatives.
  • Support training efforts for the service team.
  • Comply with federal and state regulations.
  • Follow all company policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Maintain reliable and predictable attendance.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of three (3) years in customer service roles.
  • At least three (3) years of experience with complex electro-mechanical systems.
  • Willingness to travel extensively, up to 75% of the time, both domestically and internationally.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management, including lean and six-sigma methodologies.
  • Collaborative mindset with a strong commitment to customer service.
  • Exceptional analytical, communication, and presentation abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across all organizational levels.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.

  • Noise levels in the work environment can be moderately loud.
  • Must be capable of operating equipment for calibration and modification tasks.
  • Extended periods of equipment operation may be required.
