The internal IT department at Bastian Solutions is seeking a Help Desk Analyst to assist our internal teams. The ideal candidate should be enthusiastic, approachable, and possess a strong desire to resolve IT-related issues for our staff.

Position Overview

This role involves providing Tier 2 support by diagnosing and addressing technical challenges across various hardware, software, and operating system environments, including but not limited to:

  • Delivering both remote and on-site desktop assistance for company personnel and devices.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Windows 10/11 support.
  • Intermediate support for Apple/iOS and Android devices.
  • Intermediate administration of Microsoft Office 365.
  • Intermediate management of Active Directory.
  • Intermediate knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, etc.).
  • Intermediate experience with desktop applications (Office, Adobe, etc.).

Key Responsibilities

  • Image, deploy, and install applications.
  • Execute PC and device upgrades.
  • Conduct minor repairs and routine maintenance of server rooms and equipment storage.
  • Manage escalation of help desk tickets.
  • Collaborate with team members and management on issue escalations (equipment, network, etc.).
  • Engage in special assignments and projects as directed by the team lead or Director.
  • Assist with inventory management, including the shipping and receiving of IT assets.
  • Contribute to the development of new operational procedures for the IT knowledge base.

Travel Expectations

  • Minimal travel required, estimated at 0-5%.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in IT or Computer Science preferred, with up to 2 years of experience in an IT Helpdesk role, or an Associate's degree in IT or Computer Science with up to 4 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Eligibility to work in the USA long-term without sponsorship.
  • Strong collaborative interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt and take initiative.
  • Excellent client-facing communication and customer service abilities.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Intermediate experience in troubleshooting, configuring, and repairing laptops.
  • Intermediate familiarity with Active Directory/Domain Controller.
  • Intermediate understanding of Group Policies and other commonly utilized IT concepts and technologies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Basic knowledge of Linux and Apple/iOS systems.
  • Basic understanding of VPN technologies.
