Onward Play is a prominent player in the video game industry, seeking a skilled Technical Program Manager to enhance our operational capabilities.
Position Overview
The Technical Program Manager will be responsible for overseeing critical operational practices and communication standards within the Global Content Operations team. This role is pivotal in ensuring a cohesive strategy that leverages our global reach effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain core operational standards and communication protocols for the Global Content Operations team.
- Manage the GCO knowledge repository and ticketing systems, ensuring timely updates and adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).
- Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and milestones, facilitating project tracking and prioritization aligned with stakeholder needs.
- Oversee the support for the global content platform, promoting a collaborative and user-centric culture across all regions.
- Implement robust processes to guarantee that our team and partners consistently meet established SLAs.
- Lead projects aimed at integrating new technologies and workflows into our platform, focusing on continuous improvement and enhancement of our services.
- Foster strong relationships with infrastructure and technical teams to ensure a thorough understanding of deployment standards and methodologies.
- Set benchmarks for system documentation and knowledge sharing across the organization.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Technical Program Management, particularly in Media/Digital Asset Management and Cloud deployments.
- Proven expertise in managing vendor operations and support services, with a focus on negotiating and maintaining SLAs for Media Asset Management workflows.
- Extensive experience working with globally distributed technology teams, particularly in infrastructure and engineering.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with various levels of management.
- Proficient in creating detailed technical documentation, user guides, and user acceptance testing specifications.
- Self-motivated and proactive, with a strong initiative to drive projects forward.
- In-depth knowledge of SOAP, REST, JMS, and PUB/SUB patterns, along with solid understanding of Java SE, Java EE, XML technologies.
- Expertise in tools such as Notion, AirTable, and Tableau.
- A passion for exploring innovative technologies and developing creative solutions to implement advanced processes.
- Fluency in English, with proficiency in an additional language being advantageous.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with integrations involving Media Asset Management, Digital Asset Management, and Content Management Systems.
- Strong familiarity with AWS solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of current and emerging streaming media technologies.
- Experience with the Iconik Media Management system.
- Proven track record of leading complex projects across multiple teams.
