Job Summary

The Ahtna Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our project team, you will assist in the overall execution of projects, ensuring timely completion and quality delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the administration of General Contract and Subcontract
  • Develop and maintain Construction Scheduling
  • Procure and expedite materials and equipment
  • Review and process project cost reports and invoices
  • Participate in project coordination meetings and document key discussions
  • Supervise and coordinate subcontractors' field installations
  • Review and prepare change proposal pricing
  • Maintain As-Built plans and document job site safety
  • Assist with project closeout and budgeting
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field
  • 3-8 years of experience in construction, environmental, or engineering design
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and databases such as Access
  • Ability to communicate technical information to clients and stakeholders
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Federal Government projects
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project and AutoCAD
  • Engineer In Training certification
  • Knowledge of Alaska Native cultures
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent travel to project sites. The position requires the ability to work in confined spaces, varying temperatures, and noise levels.
