Project Engineer I/II/III

The Ahtna Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to support civil construction projects involving road/highway improvements and new construction. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing scopes of work for subcontractor pricing, project schedules, quantity take-offs, and coordinating subcontractors in the field.
Key Responsibilities- Support civil construction projects from proposal to close-out
- Prepare scopes of work for subcontractor pricing and project schedules
- Coordinate subcontractors in the field and ensure project deliverables are met
- Work closely with proposal/project managers to ensure project objectives are met
- Develop and maintain technical expertise in civil engineering and construction
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
- Minimum 0-7 years of experience in the engineering construction industry
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project scheduling software
- OSHA 30-Hour Safety Training
- Experience working on construction projects for the Alaska Department of Transportation, Municipality of Anchorage, Mat-Su Borough, etc.
- Knowledge and experience with Alaska Native cultures
The Project Engineer will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent travel to project sites. The position requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
