  • POSITION OVERVIEW
    • Serves as the primary resource for management in the streamlined and effective provision of mammography services. Ensures exceptional patient care through proper oversight, assessment, and comprehensive training of departmental staff, along with the acquisition and upkeep of equipment, quality assurance/improvement, formulation of relevant policies and procedures, adherence to regulations, and development of protocols.
  • DEPARTMENTAL INSIGHT
    • The Diagnostic Imaging teams at Samhealth Test account utilize cutting-edge imaging technology to furnish healthcare teams with essential information for prompt and precise diagnoses. Our imaging services encompass: X-Ray, Fluoroscopy, Bone Density, CT Scan, Digital Mammography, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, and Ultrasound services. We also provide PET-CT scans, representing the forefront of diagnostic imaging technology and a vital tool for physicians in diagnosing and treating cancer and other conditions.
  • QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
    • Mandatory ARRT RT(R) credential.
    • Unencumbered Oregon license in Radiologic Technology is essential.
    • ARRT Mammography certification or equivalent is required.
    • A minimum of three (3) years of experience as a mammographer is necessary.
    • Healthcare Provider BLS certification is required.
    • Supervisory experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.
    • A B.S. degree is advantageous.

    • Customer Service and Safety: Knowledge of customer service principles, including needs assessment and quality standards. Familiarity with safety practices and various equipment and systems, promoting secure operations.
    • Confidentiality and Health Information Technology: Understanding of State and Federal (HIPAA) laws regarding the confidentiality of protected health information and its application in health information technology.
    • Problem Solving and Time Management: Ability to identify complex issues, review relevant information, and creatively develop and implement solutions. Maintains composure in high-stress situations and effectively organizes and prioritizes tasks.
    • Communication Skills: Proficient in both written and verbal communication, capable of explaining complex issues and exchanging information effectively. Knowledgeable in medical records, procedures, and terminology.
    • Team Leadership and Project Management: Ability to lead a team and foster constructive relationships while managing multiple fast-paced projects with changing priorities.
