Job Description

At Turner & Townsend, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cost Management Professional to join our team. As a key member of our project controls team, you will be responsible for delivering cost management programs and providing guidance to project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and implement cost management programs and deliverables for large-scale capital projects.
  • Interface with project stakeholders as a trusted advisor, providing guidance and recommendations to ensure project success.
  • Develop and maintain project cost reports, including actual and forecasted costs against budgets, and detailed analysis.
  • Perform accrual and forecast reports for senior leadership, including detailed management reports and support of the MMR (Monthly Management Report).
  • Coordinate earned value analysis, audits, invoice/pay application reviews, and schedule/cost change impacts with the Sr. Cost Lead.
  • Work closely with schedule and finance track lead to ensure alignment of earned value, schedule milestone delivery, and schedule/cost change impacts.
  • Coordinate the development of project estimates with the Sr. Cost Lead for their specific project tracks.
  • Assist with the performance of value-engineering analysis and review and development of subcontract change orders as required.
  • Provide high-level project updates to finance partners and senior project controls leadership, and work directly with them to ensure project success.
  • Provide detailed cost reporting and daily/weekly updates as required.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide unified, cost-driven solutions, identify potential conflicts, and assist in the facilitation of critical commercial decisions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of project controls experience, including design and construction phases on large capital programs.
  • Proven ability to lead others and work effectively in a complex matrix environment.
  • Direct experience working on teams within a complex matrix environment.
  • Experience within the construction industry is a must, with additional life sciences experience strongly preferred.
  • Local candidates preferred, with relocation assistance provided for non-local candidates.
  • Exemplary communication skills, both oral and written.
