Senior Marketing Director, Rare Disease

The Senior Marketing Director, Rare Disease will lead US marketing initiatives and key promotional activities to help the Ipsen team achieve near-term revenue goals. This role will be responsible for developing and executing brand plans, managing marketing budgets, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business results.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to brand planning and tactical plan development for Ipsen's Rare Disease business
- Support quarterly business review, brand performance measurement, and review
- Develop and execute brand creative campaigns, including campaign tactics and media planning
- Develop strategic training plans to develop best-in-class Rare Disease sales organizations
- Lead key initiatives, including Omnichannel KOL programs, advocacy plans, and other promotional activities
- Develop and monitor KPIs for brand tactical plans and communicate performance to Rare Disease leadership
- Ensure compliant execution of all promotional activities
- BA/BS in a related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
- At least 5 years of biopharma commercial experience, with at least 2 years of Rare Disease exposure, ideally including launch planning experience
- Strong preference for candidates with pharmaceutical sales experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence others
- Ability to work with multiple internal cross-functional teams and successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously in a matrixed organization
- Demonstrated consistent track record of success
- Strong scientific/medical aptitude, ideally including experience and knowledge of Rare Disease with complex science and reimbursement
- Demonstrated success in project, vendor, and experience managing large budgets
- Knowledge of AMA, ACCME, PhRMA, and FDA regulations associated with promotion and industry-supported scientific education activities
- Excellent written and verbal skills, with strong interpersonal communication skills
- Able to work from Ipsen's Cambridge, MA HQ on a hybrid model, including 2-3 days per week on average
- Willingness/ability to travel domestically; international travel may be required
