Role Summary
As a Technology Account Manager, you will leverage your expertise in technology services and software solutions to craft strategic offerings for our clients. Your primary responsibility will be to cultivate and sustain strong relationships with customers, ensuring their evolving needs are met effectively. Key focus areas include prospecting, business development, proposal creation, and sales of our products and services. Your proficiency in relationship management, negotiation, and presentation will be critical to your success in this role.

Key Responsibilities
Your duties will encompass, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within your designated territory.
  • Utilize relationship management strategies to enhance sales opportunities within existing accounts, penetrating new divisions and establishing new connections.
  • Schedule and conduct sales meetings with clients, collaborating with other team members as necessary.
  • Assess customer needs to determine the relevance of our products and services.
  • Establish criteria for evaluating the success of proposed projects.
  • Engage in consultative discussions with clients to address their business challenges and develop tailored proposals.
  • Create an account management strategy aligned with customer business objectives.
  • Strengthen business relationships with existing clients, ensuring their requirements are fulfilled.
  • Advise on marketing strategies specific to your territory.
  • Provide regular updates to management regarding sales forecasts and pipeline status.
  • Facilitate training opportunities for clients as needed.
  • Identify customer references for potential reference selling.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A solid understanding of sales methodologies and the ability to close complex deals.
  • Familiarity with technology services and software solutions.
  • Exceptional skills in building and nurturing customer relationships.
  • The capability to discern customer business needs and deliver customized solutions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective presentations and proposals.
  • Proven negotiation skills and the ability to manage multiple sales processes concurrently.
  • Analytical skills to resolve customer issues and devise suitable solutions.
  • A demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
  • Experience collaborating effectively with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and support.

Experience
Ideal candidates will have:

  • 3 to 5 years of successful sales experience, preferably in a B2B environment.
  • Comfort with extended sales cycles and closing significant deals.
  • Experience utilizing CRM systems for managing customer relationships and sales activities.
