We are currently looking to hire a Project Development Manager for our client, a growing and leading energy solutions business. With the ever-increasing demand for biofuels, our client has over 40 years of experience in the petroleum and alternative fuel industry. They have several business units that range from large retail ownership, transportation, storage operations, and wholesale fuel sales.

Their strategic locations allow them to provide throughput and storage solutions for gasoline, diesel, biodiesel, and ethanol products. They have numerous biodiesel blending sites and transload sites. With the continued demand and their strategic growth strategy, they are looking to recruit a Project Development Manager who will be responsible for identifying and qualifying new opportunities to build additional midstream infrastructure for the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Oversee and coordinate pre-construction development of sites for storage terminal development projects.
  • Due Diligence & Permitting: Manage all due diligence and permitting activities.
  • Stakeholder Management: Maintain relationships with landowners, legal teams, suppliers, consultants, and internal teams.
  • Portfolio Development: Develop an existing portfolio of midstream infrastructure.
  • Communication: Ensure clear and concise communication with management on all development activities.
  • Permitting Hearings: Attend hearings with local communities, both in person and via video conference.
  • Land Acquisition: Work with land acquisition agents to secure new sites.
  • Strategic Relationships: Build relationships with development, finance, and EPC partners.
  • Community Engagement: Engage with the community for permitting and interconnection processes.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • Experience working on similar projects with either a rail company or a midstream company.
  • Negotiating feedstock agreements and supporting logistics.
  • Creating and overseeing lifecycle assessment models for projects.
