OUR PASSION FOR SERVICE:
Delivering prompt, courteous, and professional service to both culinary team members and buffet patrons. Warmly welcoming each guest who approaches your station.
Keeping up-to-date and accurate knowledge of food offerings, including preparation methods, seasonings, and ingredients.
Cooking food items as per guest requests, including breakfast dishes, main courses, and desserts, while adhering to specified cooking techniques and maintaining food safety standards.
Chopping, slicing, and preparing raw ingredients with precision.
Carving meats, portioning meals onto serving dishes, adding sauces and garnishes as necessary.
Ensuring cleanliness of work areas, including counters, sinks, and floors, to uphold a safe and tidy workspace.
Maintaining cleanliness in designated areas as per health and safety regulations.
Monitoring inventory levels of supplies and food products for each station, and procuring replacements as needed.
Operating and caring for all kitchen equipment and utensils in line with established safety protocols.
Providing personalized service and using guests' names whenever possible.
Being knowledgeable about current casino events and programs, and guiding guests to various areas of the casino.
WHAT WE SEEK:
High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
A minimum of five years of experience as a cook in a high-volume food service environment.
Understanding of kitchen hygiene, equipment operation, and maintenance.
Basic knowledge of food preparation methods.
Familiarity with weights, measures, and recipe yields.
Possession and maintenance of essential culinary tools (knives) necessary for the role.
Ability to read, write clearly, comprehend, and communicate in English.
Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
Availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
Adherence to professional appearance standards as outlined by company policy.
Physical mobility with reasonable accommodations.
Ability to respond to visual and auditory signals.
Capability to work in confined spaces.
Tolerance for high-temperature environments.
Ability to handle industry-standard cleaning and sanitizing chemicals.
Capacity to work efficiently in a fast-paced, often crowded and noisy setting.
