Campus Nutrition Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provides nutrition education and training support for the campus community, including tabling, lunch and learn sessions, and one-on-one counseling.
  • Implements corporate wellness programming to promote healthy lifestyles among students and staff.
  • Coordinates with the dining management team and culinary associates to meet dietary needs for all customers.
  • Provides nutrition-related training, including food allergen training, to all associates.
  • Assists the management team with menu development and nutrient analysis to ensure healthy and sustainable options.
  • Collaborates with marketing to ensure accurate nutrition communication and messaging.
  • Leads Dining Services Sustainability efforts, partnering with operations and campus stakeholders to track, improve, and communicate sustainability efforts in all dining spaces.
  • Operational execution and oversight, including hands-on work in dining spaces to serve guests, train associates, audit systems, and ensure excellence in operations and culinary services.
  • Partners with various campus offices, departments, and organizations to ensure alignment with university goals and needs.
Qualifications:
  • Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
  • Licensed by the State Dietetics Licensing Board in states where applicable.
  • Ability to present information in one-on-one and group formats.
  • Experience working with special diets and food allergies is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of P&L accountability and contract managed services experience is desirable.
  • ServSafe Manager certified is a plus.
  • Possess the necessary skills to effectively utilize Microsoft applications and nutrient analysis programs.
