We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commonwealth Attorney to join our team in an hourly capacity. The successful candidate will assist the Attorney for the Commonwealth in representing the people of the Commonwealth in traffic and criminal cases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Attorney for the Commonwealth in representing the people of the Commonwealth in traffic and criminal cases.
  • Provide legal support and advice to the Attorney for the Commonwealth.
  • Conduct research and analysis to support the Attorney for the Commonwealth in court proceedings.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to prosecute cases.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with public officials and the general public.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited school of law.
  • Eligibility to practice law in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
  • Strong knowledge of general and governmental law.
  • Excellent research and writing skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary commensurate with experience. This is an hourly position not to exceed 29 hours per week. A criminal history record check and fingerprinting is conducted on all persons conditionally offered employment.
