Job Summary

The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a highly skilled Paralegal Specialist to join our Trial Section in the General Civil Unit. As a key member of our team, you will provide critical support to our attorneys, ensuring the smooth operation of our litigation practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide secretarial support to attorneys, including prioritizing work, typing and editing briefs, and preparing documents for filing.
  • Assist with paralegal duties, such as establishing files, organizing electronic files, and uploading discovery documents.
  • Manage administrative tasks, including preparing travel vouchers, arranging conference rooms, and electronically filing documents.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three to five years of experience in a litigation practice.
  • Competent working knowledge of legal terminology, court procedures, and case management systems.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and adjust priorities without close supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, databases, and legal search engines.
