Job Overview:
As a Manager of Electrical Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in our innovative team, focusing on the design, prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting of embedded electronic systems, encompassing both hardware and firmware for projects of low to moderate complexity.

Your contributions will be essential in bringing to life the batteries, motors, and electronics that drive our cutting-edge technologies and solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
- Independently conduct experiments and simulations, drawing clear and logical conclusions from data analysis.

- Collaborate with component suppliers and manufacturers to ensure optimal component selection for ongoing projects while providing insights for future product requirements.


- Engage in research to explore and test groundbreaking technologies.

- Identify strategic opportunities and innovations, weighing their financial implications and competitive edge.


- Formulate plans to assess and evaluate emerging technology markets, aligning them with Milwaukee Tool's product initiatives and development goals.

- Foster communication with marketing, product teams, and platform engineering to capture customer insights and tailor solutions to meet user needs.


- Expand the team to enhance project capacity while ensuring high performance standards.

- Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, engaging both technical and non-technical team members.


- Build, lead, and inspire a top-tier team of embedded design engineers to deliver innovative solutions.

- Advocate for and implement new processes and procedures to adapt to evolving business needs.


- Mentor and guide the team in engineering best practices, including task management, Gantt charts, root cause analysis, firmware design, circuit/PCB design, simulation, and PCBA manufacturing.
- Lead technology assessments, develop system requirements, and define future architectures and reusability strategies.

- Proactively identify and communicate business risks and opportunities to senior leadership.


Qualifications:
- A Master's degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree with at least 7 years of relevant experience.

Required Experience:
- Proficiency in embedded systems
- Experience in leading project teams
- Knowledge of digital circuits and the interaction between firmware and electronics
- Expertise in Component Level Design
- Understanding of analog/digital system trade-offs and design, including signal integrity, noise analysis, and margin considerations.
- Familiarity with schematic capture, PCB layout software, and SPICE
- Competence in C programming and microcontroller peripherals
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 10% of the time.
