Senior Site Engineering Supervisor

Ardmore Roderick is in search of a Senior Site Engineering Supervisor to become a vital part of our team, reporting directly to the Project Resident Engineer.
In this role, the Senior Site Engineering Supervisor will be tasked with overseeing the construction inspection and documentation for a significant transit station and substation construction initiative, while also managing the assigned Site Engineers.
This position will act as the primary on-site inspector for all activities associated with the construction efforts and project documentation.
The Senior Site Engineering Supervisor must possess the ability to comprehend and interpret construction contracts, calculate payment estimates, review and maintain daily reports from Site Engineers, manage paperwork, and demonstrate familiarity with specifications and shop drawings.
Experience related to Rail and Transit, as well as Design-Build construction projects, is advantageous.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conducts tasks associated with all site engineering activities within a construction project or multiple concurrent construction task orders. The work location is dictated by the project field assignment and involves a mix of office and site visits.
- Establishes and utilizes a systematic filing and documentation process, logs and tracks incoming daily progress reports generated by oneself or assigned site engineers, ensures that field work incorporates the latest contractor submissions and is documented on as-built drawings, and verifies that project payment quantities align with project progress.
- Prepares documentation and calculations for time and material change orders.
- Conducts research on contract specifications and drawings for assigned site engineers as needed.
- Takes proactive measures to ensure that all required quality control tests and inspection records are submitted promptly, implementing corrective actions as necessary by the contractor.
- Undertakes additional site engineering tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Project Resident Engineer.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- The Senior Site Engineering Supervisor is committed to Safety and Quality.
- Familiarity with construction documentation and project filing systems.
- Proficient in MS Office applications - Excel, Word; some experience with database programs.
Familiarity with software tools:
eBuilder, PlanGrid, LoadSpring
- Ability to work autonomously and take initiative to complete tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills to interact with project team members and others.
- Detail-oriented and organized.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A degree (A.S., B.S., or B.A.) in a relevant construction-related, technical, or engineering field is preferred. In lieu of a degree, the candidate's resume must demonstrate verifiable education, training, and experience suitable for the project.
A minimum of five years of experience in building construction and engineering directly related to field inspection on substantial construction projects is required.
