JOB SUMMARY:

Under the direct guidance of the Department Manager, the Team Associate is tasked with delivering exceptional customer service in alignment with company standards. Responsibilities include efficiently processing sales, managing cash register operations, maintaining cleanliness, stocking shelves, and protecting company assets, among other duties. The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and to bend, stand, and stoop for extended periods.

DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The responsibilities of a Team Associate encompass, but are not limited to:
  • Delivering top-notch customer service, including welcoming customers and addressing inquiries
  • Assisting customers at the checkout
  • Engaging in various departments of the store
  • Ensuring product rotation, freshness, and proper display according to the designated planogram
  • Unloading merchandise from delivery trucks and organizing the stockroom
  • Restocking assigned sections as necessary
  • Supporting the replenishment of all departments
  • Maintaining cleanliness of cases and shelves, as well as mopping and sweeping the sales floor and stockroom
  • Operating backroom equipment such as pallet jacks, balers, compactors, and scrub machines
  • Assisting with additional tasks as assigned
EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE/LICENSE REQUIRED:

Experience:

A minimum of six months of experience in a retail setting is required.

Preferred Skills:
  • Ability to adhere to company customer service protocols.
  • Demonstrated experience in customer service or related fields.
  • Capability to interact effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow instructions.
  • Proficiency in multitasking within a fast-paced environment.
Skills:

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal (bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus).

Problem identification and resolution capabilities.
