JOB SUMMARY:

Under the direct guidance of the Department Manager, the Team Member is tasked with delivering exceptional customer service in alignment with company standards. Responsibilities include efficiently processing sales, operating cash registers, maintaining cleanliness, stocking shelves, and protecting company assets. Candidates must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and enduring prolonged periods of standing, bending, and stooping.

DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The responsibilities of a Team Member encompass, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Delivering top-notch customer service, including welcoming customers and addressing inquiries
  • Assisting customers at the checkout
  • Working across various departments within the store
  • Ensuring products are rotated, within expiration dates, and displayed correctly according to planograms
  • Unloading merchandise from delivery trucks and organizing the stockroom
  • Restocking assigned sections as necessary
  • Contributing to the replenishment of all departments
  • Maintaining cleanliness of cases and shelves, including mopping and sweeping
  • Operating backroom equipment such as pallet jacks, balers, compactors, and scrub machines
  • Performing additional duties as assigned
EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE/LICENSE REQUIRED:

Experience:

Minimum of six months experience in a retail environment is required.

Preferred Skills:
  • Ability to adhere to company customer service protocols
  • Demonstrated customer service experience or related skills
  • Effective interaction with customers and team members
  • Capability to comprehend and follow instructions
  • Aptitude for multitasking in a dynamic environment
Skills:

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal (bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus)

Problem identification and resolution skills.
