Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Cardiac Nurse Practitioner with expertise in Electrophysiology to provide exceptional medical care within the cardiology and heart failure specialties.

Role Responsibilities:
The Nurse Practitioner will be tasked with delivering comprehensive care to patients, ensuring accurate and up-to-date patient records, and coordinating follow-up appointments as necessary.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with our physicians to ensure high-quality care for all patients.

Key Duties Include:
- Delivering primary care to patients, conducting initial assessments, and ordering diagnostic tests.
- Evaluating patients, interpreting data, and applying advanced healthcare principles.
- Implementing evidence-based cardiac care protocols and working with physicians to assess, diagnose, and initiate delegated medical treatments.
- Collecting thorough health and psychosocial histories, focusing on cardiovascular health.
- Screening and assessing patients to determine the need for interventions, referrals, or follow-up care under physician supervision.
- Conducting comprehensive physical examinations with a focus on cardiovascular health, including evaluations of the thyroid, chest, heart, abdomen, and peripheral vascular system.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited nurse practitioner education program and certification recognized by the Arizona State Board of Nursing.
  • Current licensure in the state of employment or a compact party state, along with board certification.
  • Authorization to practice in family health by the Board of Nurse Examiners.
  • Prescriptive authority.
  • Experience in primary care as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
  • Proficiency in using medical instruments and equipment necessary for the role.
  • Familiarity with data management systems and medical records technology.
  • Understanding of federal and state regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA compliance.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of disease prevention strategies.
  • Certification in acute care with a focus on cardiac or cardiovascular specialties.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in acute care nursing as a registered nurse.
  • Current Arizona Registered Nurse Licensure, Nurse Practitioner Certificate, and certifications in CPR, ACLS, and DEA.
  • Preferred: Two years of experience in Electrophysiology.
  • This role involves in-office responsibilities with occasional on-call duties.

Job Type: Full-time
Compensation: $105,000 - $110,000 annually
