Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Stepdown Unit team. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care, coordinate care planning with other disciplines, and act as a supervisor to ensure the provision of excellent patient care.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care within the Cardiac Stepdown Unit, coordinating care planning with other disciplines.
- Render individualized, age-specific, and direct bedside nursing care based on the nursing process and patient needs.
- Act as a supervisor, assessing, planning, delegating, and utilizing independent judgment in directing other healthcare employees for the provision of patient care.
- Systematically evaluate the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice to identify patient goals.
- Participate in hourly rounding and observe safety guidelines and safe work practices.
- May be asked to be in charge for a shift(s) and supervise other members of the healthcare team.
Requirements
- License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Arizona.
- CPR certification.
- ACLS certification as applicable by Facility/by Department.
- Minimum of two years of current Level III NICU experience, including neonatal ventilator experience.
- Preferred experience: 1 year of acute care experience, certification in specialty area of practice, and BSN degree.
