Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and oversee start-up and shut-down protocols in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Ensure compliance with housekeeping standards and permit requirements as outlined in the Waste Analysis Plan (WAP).
  • Maintain adherence to facility permits and regulations, including DOT, RCRA, and OSHA standards.
  • Manage traffic control and oversee the entry and exit of vehicles in the CBU and adjacent areas.
  • Assign daily dump reports and maintain accurate production logs.
  • Coordinate and schedule trucks for outbound waste disposal.
  • Assist with rail car movements on-site and ensure proper lining.
  • Ensure all trucks and railcars are loaded and unloaded in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Act as Scale Operator during truck load-outs.
  • Track waste movement in and out of the facility.
  • Ensure that sampling of pits is conducted per WAP and sent to the lab daily.
  • Collaborate with management for compliant waste disposal in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Order necessary supplies for waste treatment and solidification.
  • Review lab-generated QA/QC reports to assess load specifications and manage processing in individual pits.
  • Operate TrackMobile, Front End Loader, and Roll-off truck as needed.
  • Train and supervise personnel performance.
  • Communicate any off-specification materials to management.
  • Conduct toolbox talks and perform area inspections.
  • Work closely with plant management to achieve daily operational goals.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience working with hazardous waste materials.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Environmental Sciences.
  • Two or more years of experience at a Treatment, Storage, and Disposal Facility (TSDF).
  • Familiarity with OSHA, DOT, and RCRA regulations.
  • Proficiency in Windows-based applications, including Excel and Word.
  • Experience operating heavy equipment.
