Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct and/or oversee compliance inspections on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis as mandated by permits.
  • Formulate and revise procedures to align with state and federal regulations as well as company policies.
  • Maintain an organized file of all operational permits and collaborate with the Facility Manager and Manager of Permitting Compliance for updates and renewals.
  • Perform audits of Clean Earth of North Jersey units to verify adherence to permit requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Manager of Permitting Compliance and Facility Manager to secure necessary permits for site expansions.
  • Prepare and submit essential environmental reports.
  • Assist Operations with on-site traffic control strategies and policies.
  • Support Operations in permit compliance and corrective measures as required.
  • Carry out related tasks and additional duties as assigned by supervisors or managers.
  • Act as the primary liaison between Clean Earth of North Jersey and regulatory agencies.

Compensation: $24.00 - $29.00 per hour

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Sciences, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • 40-hour HAZWOPER certification.
  • Annual 8-hour HAZWOPER refresher course.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Environmental Studies or a related discipline.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including spreadsheets and file management.
  • Familiarity with facility permitting, DOT packaging standards, and OSHA regulations.
