Job Summary

The Field Service Engineer provides critical support and consultation to customers, ensuring the successful installation, commissioning, and testing of industrial control systems. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical and electronic principles, as well as excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble, install, and test industrial control systems
  • Accurately and independently perform repairs, panel modifications, and commissioning tasks on-site at customer facilities
  • Program and repair variable frequency drives (VFDs)
  • Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair various electronic equipment on customer sites
  • Document field service work completed in company systems
  • Communicate with multiple departments regarding the status of field service jobs
Requirements
  • Requires a two-year degree in electronics or a related technical discipline or equivalent related work experience
  • Previous experience with test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, and power supplies
  • Knowledge of electrical and electronic principles, including analog, digital, and microprocessor circuit concepts
  • Ability to troubleshoot electronic devices and individual components without schematics or documented test procedures
Work Environment

The Field Service Engineer will frequently travel to customer sites, often in a manufacturing or warehouse type environment with various levels of noise. Occasional work will be performed in a clean, well-lit, climate-controlled area with minimal noise.
