Job Title: EHS Specialist

At Kia Georgia, Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled EHS Specialist to join our team. As an EHS Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and health of our employees, contractors, and visitors.

Job Summary:

The EHS Specialist will be responsible for implementing and maintaining a comprehensive safety and health program that meets or exceeds regulatory requirements. This includes conducting risk assessments, developing and implementing safety procedures, and providing training to employees and contractors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and develop corrective actions.
  • Develop and implement safety procedures and protocols to prevent injuries and illnesses.
  • Provide training to employees and contractors on safety procedures and protocols.
  • Investigate incidents and near-miss incidents to identify root causes and develop corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with management and employees to develop and implement safety policies and procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Ergonomics, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in the safety field in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • OSHA certification and experience with safety software and systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Occupational Safety and Health or a related field.
  • Experience with safety management software and systems.
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) certification.
