Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Grievance and Appeals Coordinator to join our team at MedPOINT Management.

The successful candidate will be responsible for handling appeals and grievances, researching cases, and resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handle appeals and grievances by inputting information into databases, writing acknowledgement letters, and obtaining medical records as needed.
  • Work with the CMO and clinical staff to ensure clinical issues are appropriately evaluated.
  • Answer telephone inquiries and maintain a professional level of telephone etiquette.
  • Respond to questions from authorized representatives, providers, and internal staff regarding grievances and appeals.
  • Work closely with internal departments to resolve and research member and provider reconsiderations.
  • Investigate and resolve priority issues and concerns in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Formulate and execute processes, requests, and workflows as requested by management.
Requirements
  • High School graduate or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum one year experience working in an appeals and grievances department.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to meet deadlines consistently.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask.
  • Ability to work well in a busy department.
  • Proficiency level with Microsoft Office Programs, primarily Word and Excel 2013 or higher.
