Job Opportunity

The Women's Center Massachusetts is seeking a highly skilled Development and Outreach Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our mission by increasing community awareness of our services, supporting fundraising initiatives, and enhancing outreach efforts.

About the Position

This role includes planning, executing, and assessing fundraising campaigns, donor relationships, community engagement, and marketing efforts. You will contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to expand the donor base and increase donation contributions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research for potential corporate and major gift donors through various tools.
  • Maintain the donor database, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records of donor information and contributions.
  • Assist in developing personalized stewardship plans to acknowledge and recognize donors for their support.
  • Regularly communicate with donors and potential donors through various channels to provide updates on the organization's activities and impact.
  • Manage the logistics of fundraising mailings, such as invitations, donor updates, and appeal letters, and create reports to analyze fundraising progress, direct mail responses, and campaign effectiveness.
Requirements
  • An Associate or Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, communication, marketing, or a related field.
  • At least three years of experience in fundraising, donor relations, marketing, or outreach within a nonprofit setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, CRM databases (e.g., Bloomerang), and tools for program delivery, outreach, and donor research.
  • Experience working in survivor-centered, trauma-informed, and culturally competent environments.
